Have a Nestea Summer

Good news everyone!

With the coming of the summer season, Nestea, one of our family's favorite powder drink, has something cool to offer to all its loyal customers!

Actually, this is not the first time that they offer this kind of promo wherein you can get a free pitcher for a purchase of 20 pieces of Nestea.

But, what really excites me about this promo is the fact that you can now personalize the free pitcher that comes with your purchase! This is really very timely since this can be another fun way to enjoy the kids' vacation. I really can't wait to enjoy this activity with my daughters! :)

So, what are you waiting for? Go to the nearest supermarket and grab your Nestea pack now! Collect all 8 designs! :)

Teresita's of San Fernando

Last Thursday, I brought my younger child with me at the office as she no longer have classes that day. It is really not often that I tag along my daughters with me at the office since my workplace is really not that much conveniently accessible. Her ate was not able to come with us since she still has classes that day.

Lunchtime came and I asked my daughter where she wanted to eat and she just shrugged her head and uttered "Kahit saan po". So, off to SM Manila we go!

I showed her the available fast food chains and restaurants inside the mall, and I am just glad that she agreed to try out Teresita's of San Fernando. Ever since that restaurant opened, I have really been wanting to check it out but I was not able to get a chance to do so and so I was really happy that my daughter was very willing to try it out. :)

The menu offered by Teresita's are comparable to those of Razon's, expectedly because they are both showcasing Pampanga delicacies. One striking difference that I noticed is the ambience. Teresita's offered a more homey and light atmosphere, while Razon's offers a more classier feel (well, sort of). :)

Pancit Palabok - P90.00
My daughter ordered Palabok. We both love this variety of pancit noodle!

As for me, I tried their Sisig. Each serving is good for two persons. I just ordered for 2 cups of rice as it doesn't come with a rice. An order of rice costs P15.00.

Sisig - P150.00
Both the Palabok and the Sisig tasted great! It both passed my expectations and that of my daughter, especially the Sisig, she really enjoyed the taste. In fact she's the one who got the bigger share! :)

For dessert, we really wanted to try their halo-halo but we already feel bloated, so we just opted to try their cheesecake. Expectedly, we loved their cheesecakes too. The taste is almost the same with that of Lemon Square, only much cheesier and tastier!

Cheesecake - P15.00 each
I spent a total of P310.00 for our lunch, not bad considering that we really enjoyed the experience. We will surely come back to this restaurant to try out their other menus. In fact, my officemates and I already planned to dine in there sometime soon!

Teresita's by San Fernando is located at the basement of SM Manila. For more information, you can check out their website on this link: http://www.teresitasofsanfernando.com/

AjiPanda™: Your Best Friend in the Kitchen

PRESS RELEASE

AjiPanda™ is a cute panda icon that conveys someone shy, caring, happy and loyal. It personifies how a humble pack or bottle of AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning fills the role of “Your Best Friend in the Kitchen” by offering an ever-reliable way of bringing out the natural goodness of food.
Ajinomoto’s new campaign, which also features teen queen Kathryn Bernardo, presents the benefits of its dependable brand of seasoning to a new generation of cooks and food lovers.
AJI-NO-MOTO® comes from sugar cane, corn or cassava and is manufactured through the natural process of fermentation. This product is safe, convenient and effective in making food taste delicious.
This is because it is simply free glutamate, the most common among amino acids (the building blocks of protein). It provides the taste of umami to food in the same way that sugar adds sweet taste or salt adds salty taste to food.
But what is umami? Umami, is the fifth basic taste alongside sweet, sour, bitter, and salty. It is the savory, rich and full taste we often experience in meat, seafood, cheese, tomatoes and mushrooms.
Consider the delightful composition of chicken, green papaya and malunggay in tinola or the medley of cheese, ham, pepperoni, tomatoes, green and red bell peppers on top of a pizza. The combinations and layers of these glutamate-rich ingredients make dishes very delicious and enjoyable.
Remember that AjiPanda™, your best friend in the kitchen, will help work wonders in your cooking so that you can share many happy meals with your family. Visit http://www.ajinomoto.com.ph/AjiPanda for healthy and delicious recipes.

I don't really have that much cravings for sweets (leche flan is an exemption, though!), but I must  say that I am really glad that I gave Sweet Desserts a shot (again)!

Last September 5, 2015, I finally got the chance to visit their Banawe branch. Actually, it was not really my first time to try their sweet treats as they were a sponsor in one of the event I've attended before. But since I was not able to taste all their yummy goodies, I really made it a promise to visit them in any of their two branches. And I am just glad that I was finally visit this sweet haven!

Situated along the very busy street of Banawe in  Quezon City, Love Desserts proved to be very popular, especially among the youth and the young-at-hearts! The store was already almost full when I arrived. Pretty fast, huh! Considering that it just opened a few minutes ago. :)

Upon entering the store, you'll immediately be greeted, not only by their courteous staffs, but also by the picturesque view of all the sweet delicacies nicely presented on top of a long table. What a sight! Those with sweet tooths will really drool over these yummy treats! Pastries, cakes, ice creams, panacottas - they all have it and more!

Of course, I wouldn't miss the chance to try their best seller - the mango panacotta! It is really one heavenly treat - not so sweet and the taste of the ripe mango just blends well.

Mango Panacotta

Worried that you might reach that point of "umay-ness"? Worry not because they also have available foods to take care of that! They have rice porridge, dynamite (chili with cheese, wrapped in lumpia wrapper & deep fried), and some kind of salsa too!

Rice Porridge

Fruit Varieties with Shrimp Paste

Aside from giving that homey feel, I think younger clienteles go to this place because they are able to express themselves in here. A shout out board is available for clients who wanted to share whatever it is that is running in their minds. Somehow, they are able to find that sense of belongingness in this charming and sweet little place! Good job Love Desserts!
